About the Dentists

Dr. Bernard D. French attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. He completed multi-speciality internships with the U.S. Navy at the Submarine Base in Groton, CT. He was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition of completion of 500 hours of continuing dental education. He continues to be an active member in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, and is a past president of the New London County Dental Society.

Dr. David L. Goldschneider attended C.W. Post College of Long Island University and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in Richmond. He completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and a one year General Dentistry Fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington. During his Fellowship he served as Chief Resident and also as an instructor in Emergency and Geriatric Dentistry. Presently he holds an active position as Clinical Instructor at the UCONN AEGD Program. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

FAGD - Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry - General dentists do not specialize in any one facet of dentistry. According to the AGD, an FAGD "has been recognized by other dentists as a leader who is committed to quality patient care through continuing dental education." An FAGD dentist must earn a minimum of 500 approved continuing dental education credits and pass a comprehensive 400-question examination; s/he must also be an Academy of General Dentistry member for five continuous years.
